*BABC MIAMI ANNOUNCES NEW PRESIDENT, CHRISTINE ALDEN*
The British-American Business Council in Miami today officially announced the appointment of incoming President for the 2017 and 2018 Years Christine Alden who will formally take over the role from current President Alan Georgeson at the January AGM which will be hosted by the British Consul General Mr. Dave Prodger at the Consulate in Miami at 6pm on Thursday January 19th 2017.
We invite all Members and Friends of BABC Miami to welcome Christine, and attend our annual AGM which will also introduce the Leadership Team and some exciting 2017 Events.

Christine J. Alden was born in England to British and Jamaican parents. She was raised in the US, UK and Jamaica and has attended schools in all three countries. In her professional life, she is an immigration attorney and partner with Weiss, Alden & Polo, P.A. She has dedicated her practice solely to immigration law for the last 20 years by helping individuals and businesses worldwide seeking U.S. immigration solutions. In addition to the BABC, Christine is involved in several other professional associations. For instance, she is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and is currently elected to serve the local chapter of 850 lawyers as Secretary after three terms elected as a Board Member at Large. Additionally, within the AILA South Florida Chapter, she is the Co-Chair of the Congressional Liaison Committee. She is a 1996 graduate of Texas Southern University, Thurgood Marshall School of Law, where she was the Research Editor of the Law Review. She attended college at the University of Florida, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Finance. She also had the privilege of spending a semester abroad at Magdalen University, Oxford studying UK/US Comparative International Law.
