The British-American Business Council Miami was founded in 1985 as a non-profit organization to serve the growing business interests between the UK and South Florida focusing on business activities across the Atlantic.
In recent years, recognizing South Florida’s growing importance as a major center for all Latin American & Caribbean (LAC) countries, the BABC has broadened its role to include business development between the UK, LAC and globally. BABC Miami is a member of the British-American Business Network, the largest transatlantic business network, with 23 chapters and over 2,000 member companies ranging from multinationals through middle market and smaller companies based in major cities and business hubs throughout North America and the United Kingdom.
BABC Miami provides our members with opportunities to promote their businesses, supplies useful information from our own sources and through a network of like-minded organizations, arranges business and trade lunches providing the opportunity for one-on-one discussions with subject experts and important speakers, as well as social events that are enjoyable in their own right, providing an environment for members to entertain their clients and co-workers with British culture and traditions.
BABC Miami also directs members to the services provided by the British Government through UK Department of Business and Trade both in the UK, Miami, and across North America, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
The mission of the Miami Chapter of the British American Business Council is to provide networking, education and business development opportunities and to build cultural ties between the United Kingdom, South Florida and the extended Latin American and Caribbean business communities. BABC Miami operates in collaboration with the Miami office of His Majesty’s Consul General and the Department of International Trade. We strive to create a supportive and dynamic community of business leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals committed to commerce, innovation, and cultural exchange, and to provide our members with the tools, resources, and network to succeed in the global economy.
